GRAND FINAL 2005 AT THE BRIT OVAL
BROMLEY V EALING.

Ealing 252 for 9wkts (A Elech 112; J Benjamin 3-35) lost to Bromley 256 for 6wkts (A Wells 83, L Taylor 56; R Rao 2-32)

Despite a stunning century from Man of the Match Ahmed Elech- who became the highest seasonal run scorer in the Tournament's history- Ealing failed to score enough runs to defeat an experienced Bromley side which featured two former England internationals Alan Wells and Joey Benjamin. The Oval pitches are so good that 280-300 is becoming a par score for the Final and Bromley- guided by Wells' elegant 83- saw the Kent champions home quite comfortably in the end. This was Bromley's first appearance in the Final, despite being Kent champions regularly in the past few years, and a long overdue victory for the representatives of South East London and the White Horse county.
